Support me as I take part in A Walk in the Park 2024

Recently, my mother, Barbara passed away. She was diagnosed with Parkinson's Disease about 10 years ago. 

I am taking part in the 2024 A Walk in the Park for Fight Parkinson's on Sunday April 21st to raise awareness and funds to support the Parkinson’s community.

When the Parkinson’s community stands united, we can empower each other to make a difference. A Walk in the Park provides the opportunity to stand together to be seen, heard and understood. Together we can say more, do more, be more. Let’s fight Parkinson’s together.

Parkinson’s is a progressive neurological condition that affects people from all walks of life. It is quite common, with approximately 219,000 Australians, including over 57,000 Victorians living with Parkinson’s.

I had this walk mentally organised after missing out on doing the walk last year. A friend (thanks Jodie) and I had decided that if no one else joined us, that would be more fun for us. It would also be an excuse to catch up with a very good friend who I rarely see for no good reason. 
When mum passed, I suddenly remembered that I wanted to do this walk; I already had a plan to walk this year, I just had to action it.

So here we are, with 12 days to go until we walk and I have a team of friends and family as well as so much support. 

I'd like to thank everyone who has already donated. There have been so many donations from all parts of my life as well as my gorgeous mums. She'd hate the attention but love that we are all going on an adventure together.
